After returning from Riga, Latvia on Sunday, my friends and I decided to go to Dyrehavsbakken, the oldest amusement park in the world. It is just under an hour out from Copenhagen by metro. It was well worth it to visit as they are normally only open for the Summer but they opened for two weekends to celebrate Halloween. It was not crowded and the entrance was free. We paid 60 DKK to go on the oldest roller coaster which is from 1932 and made out of wood. I would recommend going to experience a smaller amusement park with no lines.
On Monday, I carved pumpkins with my friends. Most stores were out of big pumpkins already so we carved small ones.
I also went to Kronborg Castle, a little over an hour from Copenhagen by metro on Wednesday. This is the castle where Hamlet is set and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was pretty, but I would say that Frederiksborg Castle is more worth a trip outside of Copenhagen.
This weekend, I will be going to Tromsø, Norway!
